The main characteristic of electrolytic polishing is selective dissolution. From a microscopic perspective, the surface of the workpiece is in a wavy curve shape. The electricity generation rate of the protruding parts of the metal surface is higher than that of the concave parts, so the protruding parts will dissolve first. However, the concave parts are in a passive state due to the high amount of adhesive film and low electricity generation, which is not easy to dissolve. So the initial stage of electrolysis is the process of surface finishing. After the surface is flat, it slowly enters the process of emitting light, and then the surface becomes bright and flat.

Operation process:

Hanging up → chemical degreasing → hot water washing → cold water washing → electrolytic polishing → secondary flow cold water washing → acid activation → flow cold water washing → drying (part of the process flow can be adjusted according to the actual situation)

usage method:

Using the original solution, the lead plate is used as the cathode (negative electrode), and the workpiece is used as the anode (positive electrode) at 40 degrees Celsius. The current density is 10-25 amperes per square decimeter, the voltage is 8-10 volts, and the time is 5-8 minutes. Recommended process flow: (oil and rust removal activation → water washing → air drying) → electrolytic polishing → water washing → passivation → water washing → neutralization → water washing

matters needing attention:

1. The working fluid has a certain degree of corrosiveness and should not come into contact with exposed skin. Latex gloves should be worn during operation.

2. When the oil stains on the treated parts are severe, it is recommended to perform rough and degreasing in advance.

3. After processing the working solution for a period of time, due to the decrease in effective concentration, the treatment effect is not satisfactory. At this time, a new solution should be replaced or the product should be added.
